BurgerFi Opening Third Delray Beach Restaurant and Donates 10,000 Burgers to Feeding South Florida

May 22, 2020

South Florida-based BurgerFi Celebrates Grand Opening by Supporting the Opening of Local Non-Profit Kitchen

West Palm Beach, FL (May 22, 2020) – Delray Beach will have another better burger restaurant for residents and visitors to enjoy. BurgerFi, known for its all-natural, antibiotic and hormone- free Angus beef burgers, fresh-cut fries, and creamy custards, will open its third location in Delray Beach, Florida at 620 Linton Blvd. in the Whole Foods shopping center. The doors open at 11:00AM on Monday, May 25.

Through the month of May, guests who download the BurgerFi app for the first time will receive a free order of fresh-cut fries. Instead of its normal grand opening festivities, BurgerFi has donated 10,000 of their award-winning VegeFi patties to Feeding South Florida’s new 5,000 square foot commercial kitchen in Boynton Beach, aimed at delivering prepared food to South Florida’s food insecure population. Feeding South Florida, an affiliate of Feeding America, has expanded their efforts dramatically as a result of COVID-19, and has previously partnered with BurgerFi, its team members, and its franchisees to raise funds and awareness for hunger action.

“Delray Beach welcomed BurgerFi since the opening of our first restaurant on Ocean Boulevard back in 2011,” said local resident Charlie Guzzetta, Chief Brand Development Officer for BurgerFi and two-time recipient of the Delray Beach Police Department Community Service Award. “We are a Palm Beach County-based company and are especially proud to partner with Feeding South Florida as part of our longstanding commitment to making a positive impact in our community, while adding 25 jobs to the City of Delray Beach.”

“We are excited to partner with BurgerFi for their new store opening in Delray Beach that will coincide with the opening of our new 5,000-square-foot kitchen in Boynton Beach,” said Sari Vatske, Executive Vice President of Feeding South Florida. “We are grateful to BurgerFi for their continued partnership. As our Hunger Action Month Partner of the Year, supporting the opening of our kitchen is a great example of how the culinary industry works together to put food on the tables of families who need us most during this critical time.”

The partnership with Feeding South Florida to feed 10,000 people in need is part of BurgerFi’s broader efforts to support the local towns, cities and counties where they operate throughout the country during COVID-19. BurgerFi recently announced a partnership with Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent accounting firms in the U.S., and the Marcum Foundation to deliver up to 20,000 meals to hospital workers and first responders on the frontline of COVID-19 in cities throughout the U.S.
